Jason Taylor to Redskins

The Washington Redskins have just acquired defensive end Jason Taylor from the Miami Dolphins for a second and sixth round pick.  Jason Taylor will greatly improve the Redskins D.  Taylor is a great pass rusher.  Taylor recorded 11 sacks last season, and has had double-digit sacks in six out of his twelve seasons.  Taylor is getting old, but he is still obviously a force on the D line.

Taylor won the 2006 Defensive Player of the Year Award.  The NFC East is shaping up to be the best defensive division in the NFL.  The Cowboys have their usual stingy offense in top form.  The Giants defense carried them to a Super Bowl last season.  Strahan is leaving the great defensive line, but they still have Osi Umenyoria and Justin Tuck.  The Eagles had a good defense even before they landed the top defensive player on the free agent market (cornerback Asante Samuel).  It's going to be tough for the Eagles this season.
